Food needs in Prince Edward County are evolving, and Prince Edward Learning Centre has made the difficult decision to wind down our PEC Fresh Good Food Markets. Weekly markets will continue until the final market on Wednesday, October 21.
We’re Not Going Away!
PELC is deeply committed to food security, and we understand access to fresh, affordable food is more pressing than ever. We are taking some time to shape a response that can address community needs more directly. Through surveys and feedback from shoppers over the coming weeks, we will be listening to our valued customers to help guide our future programming. If you’d like to send us your ideas, please email pecfresh@pelc.ca!
How to Redeem Your Gift Cards
We want every customer with a PEC Fresh Gift Card to have the opportunity to redeem their gift cards for groceries before the markets are done. We strongly urge shoppers to call in their order ahead of time to make sure they can get everything they need! Please leave us a detailed message at (613) 476-1811, ext. 108.
Celebrate With Us on Wednesday, October 21
At the final market on Wednesday, Oct. 21, please join us between 3-5pm to celebrate six years of serving our community. We’re proud of what the market offered, and deeply grateful to the many volunteers, growers and community partners whose dedication made it such a special place.
Today, we are releasing our 2025/26 Impact Report, with details about PELC programs and outcomes for the people we serve. You can read the report online at the link below. Printed copies are available on request. Over the past 30 years (wow!) PELC has grown from an...
