Angie Geridis-Ouimet

Angie joined the PELC Board of Directors in January 2021 and stepped into the role of Vice-President in 2023. She brings extensive experience in leadership roles in both employment and social support, building awareness and advocating for clients. During her 14 years as a supervisor with Employment Services, she managed multi-million dollar budgets, worked with a strategic network of partners, and gained confidence in interpreting legislation and policy, including OW and ODSP, as well as collective agreements, grievances and human rights. She spent two years as Homeless Services Coordinator and Shelter Manager with the Canadian Red Cross, where she wrote grant proposals and developed community scans, needs assessments and agency linkages to provide support to vulnerable clients. She was a shift supervisor for Covenant House, managing the 24-hour youth shelter. She has a strong belief in volunteerism, community, youth, mentoring and human rights. She speaks Greek and Macedonian, and lives in Rednersville.
